Default Tombs Noob

I admit I am a noob to Tombs. I have some PvP and GvG experiance. Just seems like I never find a "good" team in the toombs.

Here is my challenge and reward. Someone .... anyone send me a pm that can make a group that will play at least 6 maps and win tombs at least one time this Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday night between 11pm and 4am CST (american centeral standard time). I have every monk skill unlocked and most Ele and W skills. I have enough faction saved up to unlock a few things if needed. If you run a team (or get me on a team) that will win HoH I will give you 5 ecto.

I don't attempt anything in the game 1/2 way and I want to learn PvP from the best. The reward can be raised if 5 ecto isnt worth it to you but that can all be worked out after contact.

I realize some of you are going to flame....be my guest....

The closest you'll get to what you're asking for right now is offered by this guy who runs this fame farming service, you might find him in the trade forum.

Learn the PvP? Best bet is to find a PvP guild...
Paying for services does nothing but showing you the wrong side of the game.

disagree...

We all learn everything somewhere. The service I want is not farming for fame or faction. I want to pay someone to teach me the details of HoH and team building. My post is going to be used for a foot in the door. I would like to develop a good list of skilled PvP friends. I have no problem buying my first friend (or fiend) in order to be introduced to the ranks of the top PvPrs.

As far as finding a PvP guild....not leaving LBS...

iway=ftl, if u want to learn pvp go to the id dists and say monk lfg(doesnt have to be high ranked)anything but iway, make sure they use ts or vent to discuss strategys(<<didnt spell that right) if they dont use voice chances are the group isnt going far :\, its not hard to learn the basics of tombs, just dont resort to iway for fame!!!

Err, I feel a need to point out that when I was learning how to survive in combat nobody ever suggested we just go for it and try to learn on the fly. We had instructors, months of training BEFORE we did any live fire stuff, and then we had more training, constant training, and lots and lots of running thrown in whenever we screwed up so we would associate failure with pain.

This is a game. The price for a screwup will never aproach life and death. That is why it's fine to just wing it and try to learn on the fly, BECAUSE there is no real penalty for failure.

But this is a game. So who cares how he learns? Let him do whatever he wants. Although I suspect payment for training will mostly get him a smaller bank account.

Question to the OP: why do you want to win HoH, exactly? You are already quite rich, and winning a sigil will only get you 20k (if you even get one) and most other gold drops in HoH are not worth 600g. Plus you get no fame bonus for winning the HoH map.

Hence I do not understand the logic of paying someone to win HoH with you since you receive no tangible benefit in return.

If it's fame you want, "paying for winning HoH" is not the best way to get it. You could skip to HoH right after Unworthy Dead and get a whopping 1 fame point for winning HoH.

Obviosly I don’t need the money from winning. I have much more than a mere 15 ecto and the money doesn’t do me much sitting around. As far as winning HoH goes….just a goal. I believe (may be wrong) that the top PvP players are the ones winning HoH so that is why I decided to add that as the target. If the best were dominating the Droks areana then I would want a consecutive win streak in that arena. I needed a target goal in order to base the reward for taking me into your already close nit of PvP friends and letting me tag along until I learn something useful and make a few contacts.

This is a useful post. Never thought about the international D's for PvP. I am sure I will get much the same with PuG's here as in PvE though.

Thanks Sergio….I am already hooked up with Prince and I will talk to toast….however I would like to get connected with a group that uses more intricate builds…and add some great PvP players to my friends list for future reference. I am not saying that toast and prince aren't great but they are only 2.

Understandable, but in that case it would be wise to re-word your offer. Because due to the wording you used: in theory a team could take you on, skip to HoH from the Unworthy Dead, and win. Or maybe after the Underworld map. Then collect their ectos from you and kick you to the curb. Which would not exactly be a good value for you.

Here is where my PvP noob shows through in gleaming white.

What should I ask for to accomplish the goal that I believe you all are getting from this? I was under the impression that winning HoH would take awhile and I believed that I would learn something from it. Your post makes it sound too easy. So what would the proper challenge/reward be for learning PvP?

I could probably get you into my average team, but i'd probably have to lie about you :P. We win halls around a of 1/3 runs we do (and if not we get around 6 consecs).
The team rank varies from 8/11 but we don't normaly play with greentree tbh ^^.

Please don't take this wrong DC I am not yet turning you down.

What does avarage refer to in PvP?
Bad = rank 1-3
Decent = rank 3-8
Average = rank 8-11
Good = rank 11-?
Great = rank ?

Told you ... PvP noob

I would like to add that I do not fear for my skills when playing. I will however need to know what skills the build requires and why they are required for that specific build. It does me little good to read a build and then just use it. I want to understand the builds.

Indeed this is not necessarily the case as you can skip directly to HoH from any point, even immediately after killing the Unworthy Dead ghosts.

A better thing to do would be to put some sort of "number of maps played" conditions into it. I think there are 8 maps before the HoH, and you may end up playing or skipping any number of them on the way there, even if the number you actually play is 0.
